Another week, another piece of fluffy fun from me, Dr Sparkles D’Mournay. I’m bringing you an alternate view of things that have been happening on and off the pitch this week…
Fun Fact Number One: The only good thing to come out of the 0-0 Manchester Derby last week was a rather amusing photograph of ‘just good friends’ Carlos Tevez and Rio Ferdinand. Who would have thought that they were this close? Given Rio’s apparent penchant for gaining super injunctions from the high court to hide what a naughty boy he has been, Dr D’Mournay is rather surprised that this beautiful coupling slipped though the net…
Fun Fact Two Number Two: Dr D’Mournay does love a little weekend getaway to Spain when finances and time allow it, so she was overjoyed to see a certain Gerald Pique throwing Spanish snack food at an official while he was watching Barcelona v Ceuta last week. The Copa del Rey match finished 5-1 to Barca, but even more interesting was Pique’s sideline adventures…
The Spanish – somewhat strange creatures at times – do enjoy nibbling on Pipas, essentially justsalty sunflower seeds, while watching a bit of football (which is a far healthier alternative to a Pukka Pie, it must be said). It seems Pique would rather put his snack food to better use – see below for an amusing ‘it wasn’t me señor’’ moment, before Pique puts aside all pretence and chucks the whole bag at the poor official. Muy travieso…
Fun Fact Number Three: Fresh news from the Liverpool training ground this week suggests that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has lost it. Dr D’Mournay began to suspect a psychological issue when she heard that Hodgson got his team to train using those old 80’s favourites, Space Hoppers this week. The Liverpool squad appeared to enjoy getting back to childlike ways, but whether they will be introduced into their games is yet to be seen… Perhaps a few giant rubber balls on the pitch is just what the Reds need in order to return to past form…

Babel and Carragher fighting over who gets to hop next.
Dr D’Mournays Transfer Tidbit of the week: Lucia Barros from Borussia Dortmund may be on his way to Anfiled. Perhaps he’ll collide with Glen Johnson as he runs in the other direction…
